Article titles[edit]

@Rhain: I've never even seen this show and would have probably not even voted if you'd held a group RM on the topic. But just procedurally, there was a RM in the past, and you didn't appear to be an expert on the show either given that you just immediately moved them all on mention. And while the Doctor Who RM isn't finished, there is very substantial support for the proposal and against seeing it as a consistency problem, so it struck me the wrong way to go move some articles on behalf of what might be the "losing" side in the consensus discussion. There's no hurry. Let's revert these for now and then have a RM where sources can be provided. I don't think that's too much to ask - possibly controversial moves go through RM. I've had some of mine that I thought were slam dunks go through a full RM too, it's no big deal, if you're right we just wait an extra 7 days. SnowFire (talk) 13:56, 9 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Aqua Unit Patrol Squad 1 → Aqua Teen Hunger Force season 8 – Per WP:TVSEASON, A consistent naming scheme should be used for all season articles of a TV show: if one season is named something special, this should be noted through redirects and in the article's WP:LEAD, but the article should be named in the same fashion as the other season pages. "Aqua Unit Patrol Squad 1" is clearly identified in prose as an alternative title for this season, but the article title should reflect consistency with the previous ones. – Rhain ☔ (he/him) 14:13, 9 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Procedural comment. This RM should be for all of the later seasons, which were boldly moved by the nominator just now - I was going to move them all back but we're apparently flying forward at light speed and this RM opened before I could get to the others. (I don't think anyone thinks that Season 8 should be the "odd one out", this is just a case of the RM opening way faster than I expected.) Support per WP:TVSEASON. This article (and previously seasons 9–11) is an obvious breach of the policy. Massive props to Rhain for opening this RM, though I will note that the rest shouldn’t have been moved until a bulk RM reaches consensus. TVSEASON makes this a far more open and shut case than Doctor Who series 14, which this RM spawned out of due to the breach being used as evidence in the “Series 14 v Season 1” RM. I mean, they're not controversial. The fact that seasons 9–11 didn't get reverted says as much. Honestly, you being BOLD here was perfectly fine, and this one getting reverted may have been to encourage WP:CYCLE, despite the fact that the consensus here should be obvious per TVSEASON.
