A replica of the Ford Cortina GT in which Bob Jane and Harry Firth contested the 1963 Armstrong 500. The replica is displayed at the National Motor Racing Museum at Bathurst.
The English designed and built Mk I Cortina was also built in Australia, making it eligible to race in the Armstrong 500.
Harry Firth and Bob Jane drove a Ford Cortina GT in the Armstrong 500 at Mount Panorama, Bathurst in 1963 (the first year held there, held at Phillip Island in the previous three years). They won their class and were the unofficial "outright" winners of the race. Second was a Holden EH and third another Cortina GT.
