Description
English: "Professor w:Newton Horace Winchell excavating the old Indian village at w:Cambria Township, Blue Earth County, Minnesota" The Cambria site (21BE2) is located above the Minnesota River 25 km northwest of Mankato. The site was initially reported and mapped by Newton Winchell in the early 20th century. The site was later excavated by W. B. Nickerson for the w:Minnesota Historical Society in 1913 and 1916."
