The International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium ((ISC)2) is a non-profit organization headquartered in Palm Harbor, Florida. The most widely known certification offered by the organization is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification. [1] [2]

The organization maintains what it calls a Common Body of Knowledge for information security for the following certifications:

The organization has certified over 61,000 information security professionals in more than 120 countries.

Several of (ISC)²'s credentials meet the requirements of ANSI/ISO/IEC Standard 17024, a personnel certification accreditation program. [3]

On 19 March, 2012, ISC2 announced a strategic alliance with the not-for-profit organisation IT Acquisition Advisory Council[4]
