Wai pi wai (written as ¥Π¥) is an electronic music collaboration between Herman Klapholz (of Ah Cama-Sotz, Pow[d]er Pussy) and Jérôme Soudan (of Mimetic) which typically features downtempo experimental music, abstract, tribal, and breakbeat rhythms, overlaid with sweeping melodies composed with synths and pads. Overall, the music tends to sound organic and relaxed, finding different similarities between linked projects Pow[d]er Pussy, Mimetic, This Morn' Omina or Ah Cama-Sotz. The first ¥Π¥ album, [wai pi wai] was released in 2004, with 11 tracks running 50 minutes. Tracks from [wai pi wai] were featured in compilations, including the track "Blue Voice", which was featured on Mixed Hands. The duo has also released a pair of original compilation tracks, "¥Π¥ (Versiune De La Maschinenfest Doua Mii Patru)" and "Elastic Break" which appear on Maschinenfest 2004 and Forms of Hands 2005 respectively. Their second release, a CD5" titled Beat Planet, was released on Hands Productions in 2006.
