The Croatian Fourth Football League (Croatian: Četvrta hrvatska nogometna liga, or commonly Četvrta HNL or 4.HNL) is the fourth tier of the football league system in Croatia. The league was established in 1991 following the dissolution of the Yugoslav League. It is operated by the Croatian Football Federation.

[edit] Subdivisions

Since the 2011-11 season the league is divided into eight divisions: East, North "A", North "B", Center "A", Center "B", West, South "A" and South "B". Teams are competing in a double round-robin format. At the end of each season, the bottom teams are relegated to the county leagues while the winners of each league are either promoted directly to Treća HNL or enter a two-legged playoff to gain promotion.
