Árneshreppur is an Icelandic municipality, located in the Westfjords peninsula of northwestern Iceland.

As of 2011, Árneshreppur had a total population of only 52, which makes it the least populated municipality in the country. It has a population density of 0.07/km² (0.18/mi²). The total area is 724 km² (280 mi²).

The village Djúpavík at the Reykjarfjörður is situated in the municipality. Other villages are Gjögur, Norðurfjörður and Krossness.
