(11977) Leonrisoldi is a minor planet discovered on July 19, 1995 at Santa Lucia observatory in Stroncone, Terni (Italy).[1]

Origin of Name[edit]

The planet is named after Leon Risoldi (b. 2009), the first grandson of one of the discoverers at Santa Lucia observatory. He is named after the king of animals, symbol of strength and nobility.[2]
