Season 1917–18
Champions Rangers

The 1917–18 Scottish Division One season was won by Rangers by one point over nearest rival Celtic.

League restructure[edit]

Due to increasing travel difficulties under war-time conditions due to World War I, Aberdeen, Dundee and Raith Rovers were asked to retire from the League at the end of the last season. Clydebank were elected to maintain an even number of teams. This meant the league was reduced to 18 teams.
