1914 was the first year the Aggies played on Lewis Field, now known as Boone Pickens Stadium. Grandstands would be added in 1920. The score of the Oklahoma game is disputed by Oklahoma State.

Overview[edit]

Oklahoma A&M joined the Southwest Conference (SWC), but would become an independent again in 1957–1959. The Aggies were charter SWC members, along with five schools from the state of Texas (The University of Texas, Texas A&M, Baylor, Rice, and Southwestern [who would drop out the next year]), one from Arkansas, (University of Arkansas), and rival Oklahoma. Oklahoma A&M would win a lone conference game in the next six years.
