The 1923–24 season was the 27th in the history of the Western Football League.

After a period of two to three years in which a large number of clubs left the league, this season marked the start of a period of growth. The champions this season were newcomers Lovells Athletic.[1]

Final table[edit]

Four new clubs joined the league this season, and the number of clubs increased from nine to eleven after Hanham Athletic and Welton Rovers left the league.

1 The system of using goal average to separate two teams tied on points was used up to and including the 1976–77 season.

2 The points system: 2 points for a win, 1 point for a draw and 0 points for losing.
