The 1982–83 season was Athletic GO's 1st season in Bulgarian A PFG. They finished the season fifth in the league and reach the Bulgarian Cup final for the first time in their history, losing CSKA Sofia 0-4 the final.It was the first season at the club for striker, and the breakthrough season for teenage striker .
