The 1985–86 LSU Tigers basketball team represented Louisiana State University in the Southeastern Conference (SEC) during the 1985-86 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. It is best known for being the lowest seeded team (11th) in the NCAA Tournament to reach the Final Four (later matched by George Mason in 2006).

There was a Junior Varsity team that only got play 3 Games 1985-1986 season under Coach Tex Winter (creator of Triangle Offense and a great man) Something should be put on here, Photo, article of him, something to show honor to a tremendous Coach. I played for that Team and he deserves to be mentioned
