Jeremy Lemont Saunders, better known by his stage name 2 Pistols, is an American rapper from Tarpon Springs, Florida.[1]

2 Pistols' first success in rapping had come with an independent record called "Dirty Foot," which he wrote while still in high school[2] and distributed in the Tarpon Springs area, at the urging of his cousin. After hearing it played in a local dance club and then witnessing another rapper's performance, 2 Pistols had his first chance to perform on-stage. He later had a very brief stint with Juvenile's UTP Records [1].
"The guy was just not that good," he explains. "And he could tell by my face that I thought he was whack. So he looks down at me in the crowd and asks me if I think I could do better. I said 'hell yeah, I could!'"[2]
After taking the stage and performing his own single ("Dirty Foot"), 2 Pistols' confidence in his abilities grew to a point that he began to take his chances at making a career of music seriously.[2]
After he was released from jail,him an j-black bought a brick he re-started his music career as a local promoter, bringing acts such as Plies, Da Shop Boyz, T-Pain, and Lil Boosie to the Tampa area.[2] Through these shows, he began making connections to powerful individuals in the music industry. He formed a group called Blood Money Union, which consisted of other DJs, Producers and Rappers in the Tarpon Springs and surrounding areas. All of this led to his signing with Universal in 2007[3] and his collaboration with T-Pain on the song "She Got It," which peaked at #7 on the Rhythmic Top 40 chart in 2008, and hit #2 on the Billboard Hot Rap Tracks chart.[4]
His debut album, Death Before Dishonor, was released on June 17, 2008[5] and featured production from the Grammy-winning J.U.S.T.I.C.E League, Da Honorable C.N.O.T.E and other up and coming producers. Other tracks from the album included "You Know Me," in addition to "She Got It." The album peaked at #32 on the Billboard Top 200 chart, and rose to #10 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip Hop album chart. In early 2009 2 Pistols was the target of a diss record made by unsigned rap group 'Da U Boys' for stealing lyrics of deceased rap artist Soulja Slim, who is from the New Orleans area, as are 'Da U Boys'.
