The 2000 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament was held from May 26 through June 17, 2000. Sixty-four NCAA Division I college baseball teams met after having played their way through a regular season, and for some, a conference tournament, to play in the NCAA Tournament. The tournament culminates with 8 teams in the College World Series at historic Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha, Nebraska. LSU beat Stanford in the single-game final to win their 5th national championship since 1991.

  • Army, Butler, and Wagner were making their first NCAA tournament appearance.[1]

College World Series[edit]

Clemson, Florida State, LSU, San Jose State, Stanford, Texas, Louisiana-Lafayette and Southern California all played their way into the College World Series.
