The Japan or All-Japan Figure Skating Championships is held annually to determine the Japanese figure skating title. The disciplines of competition are men's singles, ladies singles, pairs, and ice dancing. Some years some disciplines are not held because there are no skaters in those disciplines. This event was used to determine the teams for the World Figure Skating Championships and the Four Continents Figure Skating Championships. The level of competition is Senior-level only. Juniors compete at the Japan Junior Figure Skating Championships, where the top three advance to the World Junior Figure Skating Championships.

The 2006–2007 season championships were held in Rainbow Ice Arena in Nagoya between December 27 and 29, 2006.
