The 2009 OAFL competition is set to start in May with all ten teams from the 2008 OAFL season. The pre-season included multiple exhibition games as well as the Australia.com Canadian National Championships of Australian Rules Football played by eight of the ten teams over the Victoria Day long weekend on May 16 and 17.
