Already 1-0 up after the away leg, The Millers won the home tie 2-0 and with it booked their place at Wembley. Dagenham & Redbridge secured their spot with an emphatic 6-0 victory, at home, in the first leg of their semi-final with Morecambe, eventually winning the tie 7-2 on aggregate.

Match overview[edit]

Summary[edit]

Dagenham & Redbridge achieved promotion to League One after a 3-2 victory over Rotherham United, at Wembley Stadium, thanks to a 70th minute, deflected, Jon Nurse strike. Twice Dagenham & Redbridge had taken the lead, through goals from Paul Benson and Danny Green, only for Rotherham United forward Ryan Taylor to return The Millers back to level terms a few minutes later.
