Rules for classification: 1) points; 2) goal difference; 3) number of goals scored.
1 Since the 2013–14 Football League Cup winners (Manchester City) would at this point qualify for the 2014–15 UEFA Champions League the 6th placed team would qualify for third qualifying round of UEFA Europa League.
2 Since FA Cup finalists Arsenal would at this point qualify for 2014–15 UEFA Champions League through league position, FA Cup finalists Hull City will, if they lose 2014 FA Cup Final, still qualify for third qualifying round of UEFA Europa League. If they win the 2014 FA Cup Final they will enter at group stage.[9]
(C) = Champion; (R) = Relegated; (P) = Promoted; (E) = Eliminated; (O) = Play-off winner; (A) = Advances to a further round.
Only applicable when the season is not finished:
(Q) = Qualified to the phase of tournament indicated; (TQ) = Qualified to tournament, but not yet to the particular phase indicated; (RQ) = Qualified to the relegation tournament indicated; (DQ) = Disqualified from tournament.
