The 2014–15 New York Islanders season is the 43rd season for the National Hockey League franchise that was established on June 6, 1972.[2] This is the team's final season of play at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum.[3]

Off-season[edit]

On May 22, 2014, the Islanders re-signed unrestricted free agent Jaroslav Halak to a four-year extension to keep the goaltender under contract through the 2017–18 NHL season.[4]
