The 2023 Cricket World Cup Qualifier (officially known as the 2023 ICC Men's Cricket World Cup Qualifier) is an upcoming edition of the Cricket World Cup Qualifier, a cricket tournament, scheduled to take place in June and July 2023 in Zimbabwe.[1] It will serve as part of the 2023 Cricket World Cup qualification process, and will decide the final two participants for the 2023 World Cup.[2][3]

It will feature ten teams in total, the bottom five teams from the 2020–23 World Cup Super League (excluding World Cup hosts India), the top three teams from the 2019–23 World Cup League 2, and the top two teams from the 2023 World Cup Qualifier Play-off. Two sides will qualify from this tournament to complete the ten-team World Cup field.[4][5]

In addition, the World Cup Qualifier will determine who takes the 13th spot in the Super League in the next qualification cycle. With the top 12 teams in the 2020–23 Super League safe from relegation, the 13th spot will be taken either by the 13th ranked team in the 2020–23 Super League, or by the champion of the 2019–23 League 2 - depending which of those two teams finishes higher in the World Cup Qualifier. The other team will then play in the next League 2.[5][6]

All matches in the qualifier tournament will have One Day International (ODI) status, even if a team does not have ODI status.[7][8] In July 2020, Zimbabwe Cricket announced their intentions to host the qualifier.[9] Zimbabwe had hosted the previous qualification tournament, in March 2018.[10] In December 2020, Zimbabwe were confirmed as the hosts of the tournament.[11]
