- July 5, 2168: Solar eclipse[1] of 7 min 26 s, saros 139.
- 2160: Some scientists believe that some people born in 2010 may still be alive in 2160.[2]
- March 17, 2160: Unless changes are made as to when Easter can be observed, this particular March 17 will fall within Holy Week for the first time since 2008 and fall on the same day (Monday) as it did in that year, likely requiring the movement of the Feast of Saint Patrick's Day to another date.[3]
- 2162 or later: The satellite Envisat, declared "dead" in 2012, is expected to deorbit and burn up in the atmosphere no earlier than 2162.[4]

- Star Trek: Enterprise (2151–2161).[5] According to the final episode of the TV series, the first starship Enterprise is decommissioned in 2161, just prior to the establishment of the United Federation of Planets.
- According to Star Trek, the Earth-Romulan War will be fought between 2156 and 2160,[6] which results in the establishment of the United Federation of Planets and Starfleet on October 11, 2161.
- In Babylon 5, the Foundationism religion was started in the year 2157 and Psi Corps was founded on April 12, 2161.[7]
- The Dalek Invasion of Earth (Doctor Who) is set shortly after the year 2164, as a calendar of that year is found. Later it is claimed it is set around 2167.
