2921 Sophocles

2921 Sophocles is a small main belt asteroid, which was discovered by Cornelis Johannes van Houten, Ingrid van Houten-Groeneveld and Tom Gehrels in 1960. It is named after Sophocles, the ancient Greek tragic dramatist.
Little is known about Sophocles beyond its orbital parameters and its 4.8-hour period of rotation.
