72804 Caldentey is an asteroid of the solar system. Discovered in 2001, it has a greater semimajor axis equal to 2.9731440 AU, an eccentricity of 0.0822224, and a slope of 12.14972°.[1]

This asteroid is named for Maria-Dolors Caldentey Rius, a founding member of the Majorca Observatory.[1]
