91st Street was a local station on the IRT Broadway – Seventh Avenue Line of the New York City Subway. The station was in use from the opening of the subway in 1904 until February 1959, when the adjacent 96th Street station was lengthened to the south, providing a new entrance only 100 feet (30 m) away from 93rd street. The station's two abandoned side platforms are still visible from passing trains.
