9987 Peano is a main belt asteroid. It orbits the Sun once every 3.38 years.[1]

Discovered by P. G. Comba on July 29, 1997 it was given the provisional designation 1997 OO1. It was later renamed 9987 Peano in honour of Giuseppe Peano.[2]
