The A2 (Portuguese: Auto-estrada do Sul) is a major motorway (freeway) in Portugal. It connects Lisbon, the capital, to the Algarve, the country's southern-most mainland province. A2 was completed in 2002. It extends for 240 km. A2 is operated by Brisa - Auto-estradas de Portugal.
