The Grant Professionals Association (or, "GPA" - formerly known as American Association of Grant Professionals, "AAGP") is a nonprofit membership association that builds and supports an international community of grant professionals.
GPA is directed by an eleven-member board and has two types of members, legacy and regular. Legacy members are those individuals who joined the Association before the end of the first annual conference (November, 1999). Regular members are individuals who joined after the first conference.
As of 2006, the organization had established chapters operating in: Alabama, Arizona, California, Washington D.C., Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Massachusetts, Missouri, Nebraska, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Puerto Rico, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.
Organizations affiliated with GPA are GPA Foundation and Grant Professionals Certification Institute.
