ABC Supply Company Incorporated is a roofing supply company based in Beloit, Wisconsin. It also sells windows, gutters, and siding for residential and commercial.
It was founded in 1982 by Ken Hendricks. There are currently 300+ stores nationwide. By the time of his death on December 21, 2007, Ken Hendricks was the #107 richest person in America according to Forbes October 2006 issue. President David Luck was named CEO to succeed him.[1]
The company has won numerous awards, including the Gallup Great Workplace Award, 2007 (one of 12 winners; the only privately held company to win that year). Hendricks sums up his business philosophy as "treating people right", applying it to customers and employees alike.[2] In 2008, the company won a second consecutive Gallup Award.[3]
ABC Supply Catalogs first layoff in company history happened in January 2008.[citation needed]
It currently sponsors A. J. Foyt Enterprises' #14 IndyCar Series car driven by Vitor Meira.
