Part of the AFI 100 Years… series, AFI's 100 Years…100 Passions is a list of the top 100 love stories in American cinema. The list was unveiled by the American Film Institute on June 11, 2002 in a CBS television special hosted by American film/TV actress Candice Bergen.
Katharine Hepburn and Cary Grant star in six films each, followed by Audrey Hepburn with five, and by Humphrey Bogart and James Stewart in 4 films each. Several other actors appeared in 2 or 3 films each (see below: Multiple roles). The top directors were William Wyler and George Cukor, credited with four movies apiece.

Several actors or actresses appeared in multiple films in the list, portraying multiple roles. Katharine Hepburn and Cary Grant starred in six films each, followed by Audrey Hepburn with five, and by Humphrey Bogart and James Stewart in 4 films each. Other actors were in 2 or 3 films:
