AISSMS (All India Shri Shivaji Memorial Society) College of Engineering is a private engineering college located in Pune, Maharashtra, India. The college is affiliated with the University of Pune and was founded by Chhatrapati Shri Shahu Maharaj and H. H. Shri Madhavraoji Scindia, leading to the college's establishment in 1992. The institute is located close to the Regional Transport Office and shares its campus with a pharmacy college,Polytechnic and business school. At present, AISSMS offers bachelor's degrees in eight branches of engineering:
- Chemical Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Computer Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronics Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering (Sandwich)
- Production Engineering (Sandwich)
The college is located on 11 acres (45,000 m2) of land and accommodates an annual intake of 660 students.
AISSMS CoE is located in the heart of the city in the area of Shivajinagar, around 5 minutes' walk from the Pune railway station, and is easily accessible from all parts of the city.
It has large sports grounds on campus.
Cultural and Sports activities
National Level Students Symposium and Exposition 2011
Similar to previous years, in 2011 also the college organized a National Level Student Symposium and Exposition. It was scheduled on 8 and 9 March. All undergraduate engineering students participated in various competitions held by individual departments, including Paper Presentations, Project Competition and Exhibition, Quiz-O-Mania and Techpedia.
Amarillo 2011 took place from 6–9 March. The Sports and Cultural Competition was organized at Inter-Engineering level. More than 60 teams participated. The events in this competition are as follows:
- Football (6 A Side)
- Volley ball
- Solo Dance
- Group Dance
- Music Band
The Best Sportswoman award was given to Miss Apoorva Dube, a B.E Electrical Engineering student and the Sportsman award was given to MR. Rohit Sharma, a T. E Civil Engineering student in 2011 and 2012.
At the Inter-Departmental sports meet events, the overall trophy was won by the Civil Department in 2011 and 2012.
The 2011 Annual Social gathering and the Prize distribution function “Shivanjali” was celebrated on 10 and 11 March. The Variety entertainment program was scheduled on both two days which included dramas, group dances, etc.
The Social-cultural Awards Distribution function was held on 11 March.
