Generali Deutschland, until 2008: AMB Generali Holding AG (FWB: GE1) is a German holding company consisting of about 20 insurance companies. It is the second largest insurance company in Germany after Allianz. It is headquartered in Cologne. Companies AMB Generali owns include AachenMünchener, CosmosDirekt, Volksfürsorge Versicherungsgruppe. The company is 85% owned by the Italian group Assicurazioni Generali.
