"A Day Late" is the first single from alternative rock band Anberlin's second album Never Take Friendship Personal. It is the band's third single overall. Up until the release of Never Take Friendship Personal, "A Day Late" was titled, "Day Late Friend".[1] An acoustic version was recorded as an exclusive download through PureVolume,[2] and eventually made its way onto the Anberlin compilation album, Lost Songs.[3]
The music video shows the band performing the track in a circular set consisting of four rooms. At the beginning, each band member performs in his own room, with the exception of the guitarists sharing one. As the song progresses, the members switch rooms randomly.
