Abandoned Places: A Time for Heroes is a role-playing video game for Amiga and PC/DOS in which four heroes must save their world, Kalynthia.

The game begins with four heroes, selection to fight the evil Bronakh, emerging from a rock that has been their prison for 900 years. The player starts beneath the 'Temple of Heaven's Light' and must escape to the surface while arming the party.

The world is an open-ended sandbox where the decision to go next is left up to the player. Health is indicated by the portraits at the bottom of the screen, and attack patterns vary depending on the speciality of the character and where they are placed in the party.
