In ancient Roman religion, Abeona was a goddess who protected children the first time they left their parents' home, safeguarding their first steps alone.

This deity was among the di indigetes ("indigenous gods") of Rome, abstract deities and concepts that predated the many later syncretisms of various cultures' mythologies.
