This is a list of films which have either been nominated in all of the so-called "Big Five" Academy Award (Oscar) categories, or else won four of the five categories. The "Big Five" Awards are those for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, and screenplay — either Best Adapted Screenplay or Best Original Screenplay. A film that wins all five of is said to have won an "Oscar Grand Slam". Only three films have won the Big Five, while 40 films have been nominated. This list is current as of the 81st Academy Awards ceremony held on 22 February 2009.

Winners are listed in bold with yellow background; others are nominees who did not win.
