Achthoven is a hamlet in the Dutch province of South Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Zederik, and lies about 7 km south of IJsselstein.

The hamlet is located in the Polder Achthoven, on the dike of the river Lek. The statistical area "Achthoven", which include the entire polder, has a population of around 260.[1]

Achthoven used to be a separate "heerlijkheid" (manor).[2]
