Acorn Media UK is a British company that publishes and distributes DVDs, as well as selling home-video products with a particular focus on British television.[1] [2] [3] [4]

History[edit]

The company was founded in 1997 when Lesley Fromant set up a branch of parent company Acorn Media Group in the United Kingdom.

As of 2011, it distributed products to DVD High Street and online retailers. It also publishes its own direct-mail catalogues, which include both DVDs and gift items.

In 2009, the company was, according to figures produced by the Official Charts Company shown to be one of the top-five fastest-growing DVD companies in the UK.

In the market-share data for the second quarter of 2010, the company recorded its highest-ever share of the UK market.
