Act One is the first EP by I Hate Kate, released on August 17, 2006. It features several songs they released earlier through their website. Their next album, Embrace the Curse contains (amongst new materials) re-recorded versions of several of these songs, like "Bed of Black Roses", "Always Something" (renamed to "It's Always Better" in the re-released version of that album), "Story I Can't Write" and "I'm In Love With a Sociopath" (also in the re-released version).
