Yumi Adachi (安達 祐実, born Hasegawa Yumi, 長谷川 祐実, on 14 September 1981[1]) is a Japanese actress, model and singer. Her artistic surname Adachi corresponds to her mother's maiden name. Yuri Adachi, born in 1957, had been a model and actress in her own right.
Yumi was born in Taito, Tokyo, Japan.[1] She made her modelling debut at two years of age and her J-Pop singing debut on 23 June 1993, aged almost twelve. Her big break was in 1994, with the drama Ie Nakiko (「家なき子」).
