Adaptive Behavior is a bimonthly peer-reviewed academic journal that covers research in the field of adaptive behavior in living organisms and autonomous artificial systems. The journal was established in 1992 and is the official journal of the International Society of Adaptive Behavior.[1] It is currently published by Sage Publications.

Adaptive Behavior is abstracted and indexed in Scopus, the Science Citation Index and the Social Sciences Citation Index. According to the Journal Citation Reports, its 2009 impact factor is 1.911, ranking it 36th out of 102 journals in the category "Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence", 32nd out of 72 journals in the category "Psychology, Experimental", and 4th out of 68 journals in the category "Social Sciences, Interdisciplinary".[2]
