The Administrator of Ascension Island is the head of government and representative of the Governor of Saint Helena in Ascension Island. The role of the Administrator includes that of chairing the territory's Island council which consists of 7 elected members. As a part of the British overseas territory of Saint Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha the head of state is Elizabeth II, with the Governor of Saint Helena appointed by the British government to act as her local representative. However, as Ascension Island is over 700 miles away from Saint Helena, an Administrator is appointed as the Governor's representative on the Island.

The current Administrator is Colin Wells, who took up the office in October 2011.

The first Administrator was appointed in 1942.

The Administrator does not have his own flag, as Ascension Island does not have its own coat of arms, though one is currently being designed. It is traditional for the Governor, Civil Commissioner or Administrator of a British overseas territory to use the Union Flag defaced with the territory's coat of arms as their flag.
