Air Force Base
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
(Redirected from Air force base)
An Air Force Base (AFB) is a military airbase of any of a number of air forces, such as the United States Air Force (USAF) or South African Air Force (SAAF).
Placement of the standard abbreviation varies, with the USAF using it after the name of the base, such as in Dover AFB, and the SAAF using it before the name of the base, such as in AFB Hoedspruit. The Royal Australian Air Force uses a slightly different format referring to bases as "RAAF Base" (Royal Australian Air Force Base).
