Al Ghurair University (AGU) is a private university located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and founded by Al Ghurair. The university offers bachelor's degrees in Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Interior Design.
The university was founded in 1999 for the purpose of serving the national and regional community through equipping the young generations with the necessary knowledge and skills to fit to the development and productivity of their communities. Al Ghurair University is licensed by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. All bachelor degree programs offered by AGU have been granted accreditation.

The College of Business Studies (COBS) provides undergraduate education in the field of business administration. The College of Business Studies received initial accreditation from the CAA, Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, U.A.E. in April 2004.((fact))

The College of Computing offers a B.S Computer Information Systems (CIS). The CIS curriculum is designed in such a way that majority of the courses have a practical lab component.

Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems (BS – CIS)
The program objectives are twofold, the first part deals with General Education Component, and the second part deals with the foundation and specialization courses. Through the foundation and specialization courses, the student will:
- Have the ability to apply information technology to business, services, and products.
- Have the capability to deploy and manage information technology resources and services in organizational process.
- Have knowledge and skills required to identify, formulate and solve problems throughout their career; *Have personal integrity, ethical behavior and cultural awareness in the practice of their profession; Be able to work closely with other professionals associate with computing.

The School of Design provides students with the academic preparation for professional practice in both commercial and residential interior design. The Interior Design program has been recognized and accredited by Minster of Higher Education and recognized as being among "the best Interior Design schools in UAE". The Interior Design Program at Al Ghurair University embraces both residential and commercial design fields; the curriculum provides comprehensive coverage of all major areas of training including concept development, design, communication, presentation, construction and professional services and procedures. The Interior Design Bachelor of Arts degree program provides students with the technical, creative and critical thinking skills to enter the Interior Design profession. Courses encompass the study of design theory, aesthetics, history, graphics, lighting, space planning, interior construction and professional practice internships. Field trips, guest speakers and community service projects maintain strong connections to the profession and the region.

The University has added to its library and learning resources through subscriptions to a number of electronic databases, such as ABI Inform, IEEE and ebrary. The university has also subscribed to Blackboard, a Learning Management System, facilitating the use of computer technology in teaching and learning.
