Alejandro José Chabán Rodríguez (born August 20, 1981 in Maturín, Venezuela) is a Venezuelan-American actor and writer who has performed in both English- and Spanish-language productions. He is a U.S. citizen.

His English credits include a small role in the 2005 American biographical film The Notorious Bettie Page directed by Mary Harron. As well as a guest starring role on Monk.

He has also appeared in Telemundo produced serials, such as Prisionera starring Gabriela Spanic, Mauricio Islas & Gabriel Porras, Decisiones currently in reruns on mun2 in the U.S, and El Rostro de Analía, alongside Elizabeth Gutiérrez, Martín Karpan, Maritza Rodríguez and Gabriel Porras. In 2010-2011 he participated in the Univision/Venevision telenovela Eva Luna alongside Blanca Soto, Guy Ecker and Susana Dosamantes.

Alejandro recently participated in the second season of Univision's reality dance show ¡Mira Quien Baila! where he finished in 7th place.

Chaban is also a writer. He wrote the book called "De Gordo a Galan" sharing his childhood difficulties of being over weight. Because of his obesity he tried to commit suicide as a young adult and is now an advocate for healthy eating.
