Aleksandar Sarić (Serbian Cyrillic: Aлeкcaндар Сарић; born 27 January 1974 in Belgrade) is a retired Serbian footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He also held Austrian citizenship.

[edit] Club career

In an 18-year professional career, Sarić played for clubs in seven different countries: Serbia, Germany, Portugal, Israel, Romania, Austria and Slovakia. Successively, he played top division football with FK Obilić, Hapoel Jerusalem FC - where he was voted the best goalkeeper in the Israeli Premier League - Maccabi Petah Tikva FC, FK Železnik, FC Politehnica Timişoara, SK Austria Kärnten (only part of the roster, no Bundesliga games played), FK DAC 1904 Dunajská Streda (ditto) and FK Čukarički Stankom.

After his last club's relegation from the Serbian SuperLiga in 2011, Sarić retired from football the age of 37. He then opened his own football school, "B1".
