Alexandria is a GNOME application that keeps a database of books. Users can search by title, author, keywords, or ISBN number, or with a barcode reader. The application can connect to book retailers such as Amazon.com or national libraries such as the Library of Congress to download information on the book such as title, author(s), ISBN, edition information as well as images of the book's cover. Alexandria also allows the user to categorize the books into multiple virtual libraries and search the database once the item has been added.
