Allama Banoori Town is a residential and commercial area in Karachi, originally named "New Town". It was renamed Allama Banoori town in honour of the famed Deobandi Shaikh Allama Sayyid Yousuf Jan Banoori. Shaikh Yousuf Banoori has established a religious institute by the name of Jamia Uloom ul Islamia, Banori Town, Karachi. The instutite is the well known institute among Deobandi world wide. Maullana Yousuf was a great scholar.
