Alondra Oubré is a female author, speaker, research consultant, and medical anthropologist.
[edit] Early life and education
Alondra Oubré was born in San Francisco and raised in the Bay Area. She currently resides in Southern California. She earned her M.A. in anthropology and a Ph.D. in anthropology and medical anthropology from UC Berkeley. She received her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania. In 1992, she joined Shaman Pharmaceuticals as a staff scientist, perhaps becoming one of the first full-time medical anthropologists employed by a pharmaceutical company.

She is the author of Instinct and Revelation, and has written published articles on topics such as plant drug research, pharmacology, and human biodiversity.
