"Alpha Dog" is an eighth-season episode of Law & Order: Criminal Intent and the 170th episode overall. This is the last episode of the season to feature Vincent D'Onofrio as Detective Robert Goren. D'Onofrio returned for the two hour premiere of season 9, but left for a break. He will return in season 10. This particular episode was originally set to air after "Folie a Deux".
